Problem Summary

I am unable to remove Antivirus GT infection on my computer

Problem Resolution

Antivirus GT is a rogue infection which pretends to be a legitimate antivirus program. Once installed the Antivirus GT starts displaying a fake scan window on your screen pretending to be scanning the computer for infections and it also creates an icon in system tray usually found towards right hand side bottom corner.

Removal Instructions of Antivirus GT:

1) Start the computer in safe mode with networking

--> Log into the User Account where you have the Infection in

2) Run a scan using CA Antispyware (CA ISS 2007, 2008, 2009) Click Here

and Quick scan (CA ISS 2010) Click Here

3) Quarantine the infection found in the Anti-spyware Scan
